   So very cute!

   However, I feel the need to scold the people who want to buy one.

   Animals are not a novelty. They are living things with unique personalities, a lot of exotic animals require permits and specialized care (ex. hedgehogs are prone to cancer, degus should never be kept alone and are prone to diabetes). Cute is great. Are you willing to spend time and money getting a permit and pouring extra time and money into the particular care an exotic animal would need? If not, you have no business wanting to buy one. You’ll kill it if you’re stupid, irresponsible, and only want one because it’s cute.
